2009 Big Game
Trophy Awards Competition

Northeast Wisconsin-SCI TROPHY AWARDS

2008 Trophy Awards Competition Winners

In the past few years, NEWI-SCI has offered an awards competition for animals taken worldwide. This is an opportunity for hunters to display their trophies to the public and earn recognition for their success. Winners of the Presidents and First Place Award receive a beautiful cast bronze sculpture on a walnut base. Second and Third place candidates receive a plaque of recognition with their name, the category entered and the type of animal.

The 2009 Trophy Awards Competition will be held at
Hunter Expo 2009. Hunters entering trophies in the competition will need to have their trophies at the Legends Club in Lambeau Field by 2:00pm on Friday 2/20/2009 and will have to remove their trophies Saturday evening 2/21/2009.

This is how the judges approach the scoring process.

Trophies entered will be judged on the one shot rule. That is to say, if you had only one shot, and that shot was for either a Stone sheep or a Black Bear entered in the North American category, which would you choose? Judging is based upon which animal is thought best to represent the category entered. The animal will not be judged on its SCI score, nor on the quality of the taxidermy work. Judges evaluations are independent and final.
